My Maternity Wardrobe

maternity

Have I already mentioned in previous posts that I'm waiting to the third baby? Yes, I do!;) I started sixth month so my baby bump (and other problematic parts;)) are getting bigger and bigger, but anyway it's pleasure! Nothing for to worry about! It's like a game to be interesting and inspiring in every situation, it's only upon you to make this long and little bit passive period as productive and pleasant as possible.

Here I'll try to share with you some essentials from my maternity wardrobe:

1. As the jeans is the most important essential of my everyday life, Topshop boyfriend style, maternity jeans and J Brand slim fit also maternity one are real treasure
2. Natural materials are especially important while pregnancy, cause our body is  much more sensitive than normal, so T by Alexander Wang has a lot to suggest you during this period, I love...
3. As I have mentioned it's my third pregnancy but I have never said bye-bye to the heels in necessary situations (of course, in the case if there is not some restrictions by doctor), so gladiator style ankle boots are my favorite for upcoming season
4. And at last: the most comfortable essential in my list is J.Crew silk pajama set for sure! I love to wear it even daytime with elegant heels and some chunky knits.Try it, it's fun...

Jacket over shoulder . . .

For those who love layering, like me: wearing top than the shirt, than the sweater and after all there's definitely no chance to wear jacket/blazer over them;) So, you have to put it over your shoulders that, I think makes your look even comfortable and cooler as well. But sometimes I try it not only for much of layers, but just to transform too "experimental" look into something like official.
Here are few shots how I have already tried this trend,
Enjoy;)

Gingham power . . .

gingham

Last time my eyes are more and more often caught by Gingham fabrics. Spotted at Miu-Miu Resort-2012 Gingham, puffy sleeve dresses and kitten heels are my absolute favorites of the season, not to mention light blue Gingham pants and skirts at Jil Sander S/S-2012, the collection that made really obvious for me, that Raf Simons is the "designer of the moment".
I'm undoubtedly going to try something of Gingham fabric, that so reminds me Dorothy Gale's blue costume from the children's fantasy-film/book - The Wizard of Oz...

Legend comeback?! Shocking Elsa Schiaparelli . . .

schiap

Jean Cocteau sketched the sewing patterns for her fabrics and Pablo Picasso inspired her fabrics decorated with newsprint, while oversized lobster on one of her evening gown came from Salvador Dali.
Creations of this Italian designer - Elsa Schiaparelli, blurred the borders between fashion and art, but unfortunately her fantastically extravagant creations are design history by 1954 and what?! Few days ago we heard shocking news, that Diego Della Valle, the CEO of Tod's SpA (which owns Tods and Hogan), has announced that he will be re-lunching the brand later this year.
Now the most intriguing question is who will be the creative director of the brand who was founded by the woman called nothing more than "Shocking Elsa" (shocking pink).
That's the biggest secret of the moment, we definitely have to wait ...

Your Prom dress . . .

prom dress

So, this post is dedicated to one of my most devoted reader - Anastasia, who asked me several days ago to give her some advises about Prom dresses and here is my promised post.

  • Start form hair cut - I'm in love with Valentino A/W-2012 catwalk girl's hair style, that so reminds me Vivien Leigh's heroine - Scarlett O'Hara in the film "Gone with wind"
  • Hair accessorize - definitely pearl and flower adorned hair bands from Dolce & Gabbana A/W-2012 collection
  • Prints - flowers in the mood of Baroque are my favorites. Sometimes embroidered onto the garments embelished with sequins and oriental beads as seen at Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino and Balmain A/W-2012 collections
  • Shape - I vote for tapered and slightly flared silhouette with enhanced waist and absolutely love the prim ruffle of the lace at the neck and bell shape sleeves - like Marie Antoinette night gowns reinterpreted at Valentino Haute Couture S/S-2012
This is my guide list and mood board for the prom dress, hope it helps and inspires you somehow ;)
Enjoy your day...
