Tbilisi Fashion Week

Tbilisi Fashion Week kicked off yesterday - 3 may and will continue till 8'th of may. Last day is dedicated to International model competition - FORD MODELS SUPERMODEL OF THE WORLD. I think participation in this competition is a great opportunity for Georgian models to step into the international fashion business. Yesterday at 20:00 guests were invited at the Hotel - Sheraton Metechi Palace to celebrate 20'th aniversary of the hotel. Fashion show began at 22:40, Atelier 10'a opened TFW with Fall/Winter - 2011/12 collection. At first on the catwalk models walked out all together wraped in bath robes with logo of Sheraton on it, (it was really fun). Designers Teona Tavartkiladze and Ika Bobokhidze for the most part of collection used dark colors, like black, blue, grey also little bitt of cream and hot pink. Lengths - middle knee and long for dresses and skirts. Fabrics - silk, chiffon, cotton jersey. All the models wore flats on straw bottoms, colors were same as for clothing. I want to agree designer Teona Tavartkiladze as she explained by the TV - interviwe that their collection was not devoted for Autumn/Winter - season as it was enriched with a lot of dresses and light clothing. Also I would be happy to see more stylized collections, as only a one dress or a pantsuit can't make the look. There are a lots of other details necesarry
